BTEC Extended Certificates
BTEC Extended Certificates
BTECs are the world’s most successful applied learning courses. BTECs are qualifications designed to give students the skills they need to progress onto higher education or go straight into employment through more practical tasks than A-levels.
They are produced with employers and HE officials to ensure that they achieve this aim. UCAS point are assigned to the qualifications in exactly the same way as A-levels and a Distinction* in one of our BTEC Subsidiary Diplomas will provide you with exactly the same number of UCAS points as an A* grade at A-level. Applied learning is the right choice for a vast number of students – those who prefer to immerse themselves in project based learning and those who don’t perform well in exams would benefit greatly from studying BTEC at BCHS.
To study BTEC Level 3 with us you need to achieve at least five A*-C grades at GCSE.
“Both my children went to University, one using the A-Level route and the other studying an Extended Diploma (Level 3) in Business Studies. My daughter found the BTEC route the best for her as she could keep to deadlines for each of the assignments, and gained a Triple Distinction, (410 UCAS Points) giving her a place at Greenwich University.”
