Bad Weather and Emergency Closure Procedure

Events such as heavy snowfall sometimes make it necessary to close the school.  We have procedures in place to ensure parents and students are notified as quickly and efficiently as possible.

In the event the school has to close, information for parents will be provided via the following:

  • BBC Essex (103.5) and Heart Essex FM (96.3 or 102.6) Snow lines
  • Essex County Council - https://www.essex.gov.uk/emergency-school-closures
  • BCHS Website 
  • BCHS Twitter Page
  • BCHS Facebook Page

An email will also be sent to all parents via School Comms. It is therefore very important that if you have not already done so, you supply the school with your email address and notify us of any changes.
