Back to Key InformationInternal Examinations
Examinations take place at least once a year for all students. There is on-going teacher assessment throughout the year. Evidence of students' attainment is retained by the school in subject departments.
External Examinations
All students sit public examinations. It is the school's policy to enter all students who have both completed the course and are considered to have a reasonable chance of achieving a grade. This results in an average entry of almost eleven subjects per candidate. In the Sixth Form, students may be entered for GCE A Level, BTEC, and diploma qualifications.
Details of the academic performance of our students is provided in the documents below. Published figures and comparisons to other schools can be found by visiting the DfE School Comparison website: https://www.compare-school-performance.service.gov.uk/school/145474/brentwood-county-high-school/secondary
In 2021, 98% of our KS4 cohort are in education or employment.
