Why study BTEC Performing Arts?
The BTEC Level 3 National Certificate in Performing Arts gives an engaging and stimulating introduction to study of the sector. It is intended as an Applied General qualification for post-16 learners with an interest in performing arts who wish to continue their education through applied learning. It aims to equip learners with transferable knowledge and skills for progression to higher education.
You will study a range of topics
The course is assessed through a written examination, and workshops, with various performances. The students will explore and analyse different theatre companies and practitioners, from Musical Theatre, to Contemporary Dance.
All students will be assessed over 4 Units, allowing the students to focus on an area of performance that they either have a passion for, or want to learn.
Where can Performing Arts take me in the future?
The BTEC in Performing Arts offers a wide range of careers in the future, from performance, acting, movement and dance, to stage management, directing and choreography. This qualification will equip the students with the tools to progress to Performing Arts School, or to University.
