Parents' Association

I would like to introduce you to the Parents’ Association (PA), of which you automatically become a member as a parent or carer of a child at the school. The objective of the PA is to help build the community of the parent body and support the education of pupils attending the school by providing opportunities for parents and carers to meet whilst raising funds for new facilities and equipment that might not otherwise be available.

The PA committee comprises a number of parents and carers who are prepared to dedicate time to identifying, planning and organising events that further the PA’s objectives. In addition to the committee the PA relies on the support of parents who cannot commit the time to being on the committee but want donate some of their time. The events are great ways to meet other parents, support the school and have a good time.

Examples of some of our events are listed below but we are always looking for new ideas:

Quiz Night
Christmas Fayre
School Lottery.
Theatre trips
Refreshments at parents’ evenings and other events.

Money raised by the PA has been spent on:

  • A mini bus for the PE department
  • A cover for the swimming pool
  • Microscopes
  • Outdoor furniture
  • A class set of ukuleles

The PA is a constantly evolving body with active PA members leaving as their child leaves the school hopefully being replaced by new PA members or existing members who are able to provide more time.

Without the supply of new active members the level of support that the PA can provide to the school will decrease. So if you would like to be a committee member, help out at one of the events, donate a raffle prize or help with the refreshments please contact us!

To get involved please email the Parents’ Assocation or you may complete the PA Help Form and email it to Richard Davies, Assistant Headteacher via his email.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you at a future event.
