From 1st September 2017 Brentwood County High School is part of the St Clere's Co-operative Academy Trust..

There are two layers of governance of BCHS:

  • The St Clere's Co-operative Academy Trust Board
  • The BCHS Local Governing Body

The Trust Board
The Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the business of the Academy Trust, i.e. finances, HR, payroll, estate strategy as well as setting strategic direction. The Board of Directors meets every term.

BCHS Local Governing Body

The local governing body comprises:

  • The Chief Executive Officer of the Trust
  • The Headteacher
  • 2 staff governors - appointed by staff body
  • 3 elected parent governors - appointed by parent body
  • 6 community governors

The Local Governing Body meets at least once a term. In addition there are three main committees that meet regularly. They are:

  • Teaching, Learning and Assessment Committee
  • Personal Develeopment, Behaviour and Welfare Committee
  • Finance and Business Committee
