Why study ICT in the Sixth Form?

BTEC Nationals at Level 3 provide a solid foundation of knowledge, understanding and skills that are needed to prepare target driven and focused individuals for future studies or employment.  This course is spread over 2 years and on successful completion you will be able to review and progress onto further education or enter employment in a multitude of ICT subject areas.   The course consists of 4 units of which 3 are mandatory and 2 are external.  Mandatory content (83%).  External assessment (58%).

This course is the equivalent of 1 A level.

You will study a range of topics:

Information Technology Systems.  Creating Systems to Manage Information, Using Social Media in Business and Website Development.

Where can ICT take me in the future?

By successfully completing this BTEC you will be able to progress onto further education or pursue a career in the many fields of  ICT.  These include systems, web developer/designer, systems engineer and technical support consultant or software developer.
